You blokes are all red hot!
At time of photo, registered as G-AMRK
As this is an internal recognition, Dave, you get your presentation inspection lamp.

That doesn't look like a lamp. It looks like a drum for winding a cable which could have a lamp on the end.

:dunno:

Yes Mike - the Shuttleworth Gladiator was what I based my model on. Seen her fly at Old Warden - a great sight & sound. :tunes:
Image is a weird one - looks like it could easily be powered by oil & wick. :worried:
Cheers

Quite right, gentlemen. Nice to see you looking at the pictures critically, Den. ;)
Just to give another perspective:

The cord winders double as hangers (as opposed to aircraft hangars)

And if you recognise the Crown design impressed on the case you can tell which monarch was on the throne at the time of manufacture ...... I don't, so must do a bit of research!

I'd be very interested to see what you come up with, Keith. The Air Ministry ran from 1918 to 1964.
I haven't found any images of the Crown 1920s yet.
The amount of Crown detail varies between items in my collection, and when I see items on the web from QE's reign, they just have, say, 52 over a broad arrow, no Crown at all. I'm not denying your statement. As I said, I'd be very interested.
