Vanguard/Merchantman langing at Brooklands

I'm not sure if this has been posted here before, but I came across this video on YouTube. It seems the pilots landed a little short, narrowly missing some holes in the ground.

Great vid but did anyone else see the advert for an electric bike called the Baby Maker before hand? Odd choice of names.

And DaveB came immediately to mind when I saw the title.

This little video holds so many memories for me, it's sad to see the old girl finally making her last flight after all the years I spent trying to keep 6 of then serviceable, Pete Moore was real gentleman, I flew with him hundreds of times, one flight in particular was a night landing in Belfast with a fierce cross wind, it looked like that scene from "Airplane" when the control column was kicking up around his ears lol but Pete got her down in one piece.
I don't think DaveB was there that day but we spoke about this video many times and I can almost see him sitting on that bench in Brooklands.
