Re: Observer's badge, anyone?
I actually have a Linnet somewhere in my logbook ! It will take me some while to find it, and I can't as yet remember the Reg
Ah, it was G-ASMT , but I haven't yet traced the dates, sometimein 1976 or 1977

Not a birthday in sight.
Comfort yourself with a nice cosy embroidered badge for this one. Oh, how parochial, I'm thinking of the local weather, top of 6°C today, and we've had snow flurries.

Fairey Swordfish TSR II
Re: Observer's badge, anyone?
I’m thinking they are floats or skies, so some sort of early SAAB maybe... I’ll need to have a think

Re: Observer's badge, anyone?
The Dantorp looks so much better with that big radial than the Horsley. The size of it.
Ben.
Re: Observer's badge, anyone?
Looked through the only source I have at my disposal (goggle images) but didn't see nary a one Dantorp.
I didn't have much confidence the sketch Mike posted was a Swordfish as the lower wing pictured has
a dihedral angle. But I threw my chip in, no question mark included
I don't think I'm going to participate in your contest again, Mike.
The pickings from goggle images is shite. Their algorithms are so facked up I got images of Volkswagens, bbq grills, and fighter jets searching for "biplanes with floats".
Oh I even got a picture of an actual rootbeer float . .. which actually pizzed me off. Because I have Dr. Brown's rootbeer in the fridge but no icecream in the freezer.

Have to admit, at first I thought it was another Fairey, the Gordon... ( named for Gordon of Khartoum) that led to Hawker Horsley, then the float version of same.
