Well got some funny results with that. It claims I’m only getting 8.8 Mb down and 10 up. I’m actually getting 192Mb down and 21 up so something not quite right there.

I just tried Google Speed Test and this is the result for my conntection:

Your connection is good.
Based on your current download speed of 13.846 Mbps, we expect you’ll be able to play in high definition on Stadia, but you might not get 4K resolution. Go back to the Google Store.

Hope this helps. BTW, I am supposed to get around 32Mbps but cannot get that much.

Nigel.

Please can anyone tell me how I can measure my bandwidth ( recommended 20 Mbps) as opposed to internet download speed
Well actually 'bandwidth' and 'internet download speed' are two different ways to say the same thing, if you want to know what your speed is do a google search for 'internet speed test' you should you should get pointed to a safe site where you can find out what your speed is.

Looks like my earlier post has been overtaken by events.

No1 (only) son has already bought me the Premium version for my birthday and MS say I will get delivery on 17 August - a day earlier than posted..

ORBX are publicising that they are a contributer to MSFS 2020. No detail yest on what they did or are doing but I think it's a safe bet that it involves airports and or city scapes. It sounds very much like our hobby will be well supported with MSFS even if development resources are spread a little thin supporting an additional major simulator.

Here is an official thread on Orbx regarding MS2020 and also what they are going to be working on but no surprises for guessing...........Airports. Now just wonder whether they will offer discounts for those who already have purchased for either P3D, FSX or X-Plane?
