It's true; the new owners of Bruntingthorpe have done a deal to park unsold new cars on the site; which is more lucrative for them than keeping aeroplanes there ; its' not just the VC10; but Victor and all the other cold war jets there have been given 'notice to quit'
Been rumblings about it in the main aeroplane magazines (Flypast and the like)

The Buccaneers are moving to Kemble; Shackleton has been relocated just down the road from me; at St Athan ; there is a possibility the Lightnings
may stay on site ; but no more noise.

I fly over Bruntingthorpe on an almost daily basis. The site has had a significant number of cars covering large parts of the concrete areas for some time and there are more and more arriving all the time, it's expansion has been particularly noticeable during lockdown as cars are not being sold. Dodging car transporters whilst driving along the Lutterworth Road from J20 has become a daily challenge, they're relentless!
This was taken at the start of June.

Very sad to hear of this, so no more fast taxi runs that is going to be a huge disappointment for many especially for those who have striven so hard to keep these classic aircraft in working condition not to mention those who not only crewed on the taxi runs but had also had the wonderful experience of actually flying them.
Taking a quote from the link to the website:
Mr Walton is currently investigating the construction of new buildings to house some of the aviation collection and to safeguard their future on land on the Bruntingthorpe site that is excluded from the Cox Automotive UK lease.
Pity it is not the runway!!
Regards
Nigel.

The Rescue and Relocation project is trying to pull the funds together to move G-ASGM/ZD241 to another location. A few notes: the Lightnings and the Walton-owned aircraft will stay at a new site next to the Q-shed. No more taxi runs though. The promise not to scrap anything sounds nice, but doesn’t tally with the notice to vacate that the VC10 group has received. See here to support this challenge:

Sad conclusion, NOTHING is sacred (except money and profits)
