MSFS SDK

Post by TSR2 »

So I’ve had a cursory look at the SDK and the documentation. Tbh I haven’t really understood a lot of it, and it’s very incomplete. Scenery and aircraft design seem to be the most complete areas, but it is very much a work in progress.

I see Arno is going to be doing some work on MCX over the coming months to see if he can incorporate the new model format, and Gary at UK2000 is very impressed with the possibilities.

The general consensus seems to be that there is huge potential, much more so than any current sim, so that fills me with hope.

I haven't looked at the SDK yet, but do you know if there are 3dsmax exporters, and if so which versions of max are supported?

Hi Dave, yes, that’s all there are in the current version. Everything from 2016 to the present day seems to be supported.

I'm impressed Dave! Was that from Blender?
