Re: Bitzer project
Members have said that they checked "thousands" of images trying to find previous challenge answers.
I made it easy, but it looks like I'll have to make it even easier.
The oft misunderstood attempt at humour in the words in the picture should have made the source evident (IMHO).
Not one person has gone to that source, so......
Someone on this forum collects aeroplane bits, and has a link to their on line museum containing photos of those bits.
The photo being detail, the section should be easy to find.
Clearly, the diamond level is past.

Re: Bitzer project
I try to make this educational apart from fun and challenging.
I also said that I'd be very happy to give away LOTS of awards.
Well, TWO of you were "brave" enough to follow the directions, scoring gold badges in the process.
I can only guess that nobody else was interested
Gentlemen, your badges:
PeteP......... Den, 511Flyer........
We'll move right along with a more standard image, see next post.

Re: Bitzer project
A change of tack today.
A bit of a bit.
A chance for everyone to get an award.
"Like shooting fish in a barrel." "Easy as." Depends on where you come from.
All you need to do is report which instrument this is part of.
PM replies, please.*
Well, yes Brian, though posting* the answer wasn't supposed to happen.
Your award:
Brian.......

Re: Bitzer project
I was wondering why I didn't get the usual instant response from Pete!
Sorry about that, Den. Here we go, nice and slow:

Re: Bitzer project
In order of receipt:
Kevin Farnell
Brian Franklin
PeteP
Well done all three!
We'll leave the identity hidden for another day, so that others may be winners too.
As always, if extra views are requested, I'll put them up.
Usual thanks to Airboatr for artwork & hosting.

Re: Bitzer project
The short answer......
There have been another three suggestions, mainly in the Short family, which scores a tick of approval,
but our subject is not Solent, Sunderland, or Saunders-Roe Princess, Gentlemen.
That's three clues, so any more tries for a wooden award? I'll give you another 24 hours.
