Carenado Shorts 360

Does anyone have the Carenado shed on this forum? I bought it recently for P3Dv5 and love it. However I have awful problems trying to slow it down for approach and landing especially if it's light. Typically for Carenado there is no manual so any help would be appreciated.

I have it for p3d4 and not had any issue reducing airspeed.
My problem is firing it up from cold. CTRL+E doesnt work. Other than that I bloody love it.

I have both the 360 and 330. I had lots of odd problems with P3D5 across various models so binned it and went back to using 4.5 which has no issues.

Are vyou talking about on approach using full flap and you ascend?

Thanks for your replies folks. I have no problems with it in P3Dv5 other than getting it to slow down. Probably down to awful piloting by me but it does seem very slippery. Ctrl-E does work but I tend to use the Carenado option shift-5 from the flight deck. Flap deployment does cause a bit of balooning but that seems to happen in other aircraft so I'm always ready for it. I also like the fact that all of the controls on my Saitek Multipanel work for this aircraft.

I read a thread on Pprune about the 360 by plenty of guys that have flown it. Makes for interesting reading.

I have both sheds (330 and 360) and both are hard work to slow down. Starting is an issue with P3dv5 but the are some videos from Carenado here;

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqIFOR ... IDwO3C_2LA

but none cover the sheds. Carenado are well known for 'thin' manuals.

Help for the 360 is here though;

If you add this to the aircraft cfg file the engines behave better;

[TurbineEngineData]
fuel_flow_gain.0 = 35, 0.001
fuel_flow_gain.1 = 40, 0.008
fuel_flow_gain.2 = 65, 0.01
fuel_flow_gain.3 = 69, 0.04
//fuel_flow_gain = 0.03

I use pitch prop to slow it down as well as throttle,

Hi Nev , good to see you around .. Hope you're all well .

Is there a prop condition lever / VP prop lever ? Can you and are you putting '' props to Max '' [ RPM ] for the approach ?
Should then be like running into a barn door.
ATP with PWC 127s [ grown up PT6 ] , if you did not put props to Max, slippery as an eel . ''Props to Max'' rapidly put the brakes on ..

Hi Dave, great to hear from you. I was at Compton a couple of weeks ago but did not say hello as you were with a student.

You are quite right it does slow the shed down although the turboprop modelling is wrong in P3D.

I also have the Majestic Q400 which has an external app to run the engines so i will report back once I have a grip on the thing. ( Should take about 4 years ).
