These three short videos are made in the Great Rift Valley in Kenya...In real life I flew all these more than once, first in Venom FB4s and later in Hunter FGA9s:-

Thanks for that Peter, I enjoyed that as an ex Londoner. It’s pushing me closer to changing to
MSFS. :Dance:

Thank you Brian...I am certainly enjoying MSFS and I like having the whole World available...I have mostly flown in places from my RAF days but I guess I will get around to choosing some new locations to explore.

This Cub X does not have a switch to heat the Peto Tube! I think there might be a keyboard code to switch on the heat...can anyone remember it?

The FS :cheers: X key code for the pitot heat switch is Shift T+H Peter.

Thanks Dave...I’ve made a note of that!...That icing yesterday brought me down into that company airfield. I was attempting DAY ONE of the BUCK Bros “Flight of Passage”. I’m back up again now to complete DAY ONE (but it is taking 2 days! LOL!}.

Peter - oops - I forgot to mention that the model must actually have a working pitot already 'fitted' - in the aircraft.cfg file.
[pitot_static]
pitot_heat=1.000000
Cheers :cheers:

OK Dave...I’m not sure that I would be able to find that...If you have the X Cub, could you look and see if it has those properties? Thanks for your time Dave!

The FSX Piper Cub has an entry in the aircraft.cfg file Peter. It reads -
[pitot_static]
vertical_speed_time_constant = 1 //Increasing this value will cause a more instantaneous reaction in the VSI
pitot_heat = 0.0 //Scalar on heat effectiveness, 0 = not available .
Not surprising as the aircraft model doesn't sport a pitot heat switch , just a carb heat switch.
Cheers :cheers:
