Yet another of Mark´s excellent videos, a channel well worth following.

It's too bad they weren't successful in their escape. They definitely gave it their best shot.

A great story, but - if their poor English necessitated that they masquerade as Dutch pilots, why did they have such obviously non-Dutch names on their forged ID documents (see at 6:31 - the names George David and Harry Graven ) ?

Maybe the forger could not spell Dutch names!! I have to admit that whilst watching I was actually hoping that they made it!!A great story, but - if their poor English necessitated that they masquerade as Dutch pilots, why did they have such obviously non-Dutch names on their forged ID documents

They could have used the name Vincent van Gogh. Everybody knows how to spell that name.Nigel H-J wrote: ↑17 Mar 2021, 20:24Maybe the forger could not spell Dutch names!! Quite an amazing story, I am sure they knew, when they were going to be taken to the closest RAF base, that the game was up.
