COVID revisited

Post by Airspeed »

I asked the hotline why we had to sign consent forms for the jab, though we did not for 'flu or pneumonia.
Only a government department could send a reply like this received today:
"Dear Enquirer
Thank you for your correspondence concerning Australia’s COVID-19 vaccination program.

The Australian Government has made a total investment of $6.3 billion in Australia’s COVID‑19 health response. This includes over $3 billion in COVID-19 vaccine purchase and nearly $2 billion in vaccine rollout requirements such as workforce funding to states and territories, health professional training, vaccine delivery and supporting digital systems.

The COVID-19 vaccine rollout began on Monday 22 February 2021, prioritising the most vulnerable Australians to ensure they are vaccinated first. The Government expects to achieve whole‑of‑population coverage by the end of 2021.

The Government acknowledges you may have questions concerning the COVID-19 vaccine rollout. It is a large and complex project, and the information you are seeking may change over time—that is why we strongly encourage you to stay up-to-date on all news and announcements, by regularly checking the Department of Health website at: www.health.gov.au.

The Health website includes a feature called Is it true?, which addresses misconceptions surrounding COVID-19 vaccines. Is it true? helps people make informed decisions on COVID-19 vaccines by providing accurate, evidence-based answers in response to frequently asked questions. Find Is it true? at: www.health.gov.au/initiatives-and-progr ... is-it-true.

Outlined below is also a list of alternative, Australian Government websites that may be able to provide you with the information you require:

· If you are unsure of which priority group and corresponding phase they fall into can utilise the COVID-19 Vaccine Eligibility Checker at: www.covid-vaccine.healthdirect.gov.au/eligibility. Individuals with concerns or questions about their unique circumstances and receiving a vaccination are encouraged to discuss these queries with their GP.

· The ingredients of approved COVID-19 vaccines are published in a Consumer Medicines Information leaflet. Leaflets can be found on the TGA website at: www.tga.gov.au using the search terms ‘Consumer Medicines Information’.

· If you wish to apply for an exemption to travel, or find out more information on travel and quarantine, please visit the Department of Home Affairs website at: https://covid19.homeaffairs.gov.au/leaving-australia.

· Information for Australians overseas in relation to COVID-19 vaccination is available at: www.australia.gov.au/internationalfaqs.

· Travel information and advice for Australian travellers can be found at: www.smartraveller.gov.au.

· More information on recording immunisations given overseas is available on the Services Australia website at: www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/individual ... unisations.

If you need to speak with someone, the National Coronavirus Helpline is available on
1800 020 080. It operates 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week.

Thank you for writing on this matter.

Yours sincerely

Director

Australian Government Department of Health"

All that, and none of it relevant to my question 8)

The other day, I tried to find out how many vaccinations have been given. I'm expecting to be interrogated for attempting to uncover Commonwealth Secrets. :worried:
