We've actually already got a couple of container loads of new and updated textures for the DMFS flight line Ben :) .... and which are planned to be released per installments over coming weeks/months ;)

Aharon, the reason some do not look crisp is that you have not read the readme files in the packages that David Maltby did. He has a little tool that is inside the aircraft folder that you click and it converts all the images to higher format and option to remove mips, its really simple and easy. Try it and you will see how good it is

Thanks for tip. That is very strange. I did not see that when I downloaded the Trident and Bac 1-11 packages for FSX years ago. Would this tool feature be available in the same aircraft packages offered by HJG and does HJG plan to write sticky explanation on how to use this special feature for anyone who is not programmer or skilled repainter?

Aharon

I think it is typo because I do not understand your comment??

Anyway, I downloaded retro Braniff repaint called El Dorado hoping it will be very very crisp sharp enough for me to create beautiful screenshots.

For anyone who wants to use this Braniff retro repaint in most realistic manner, here is interesting info I got from official Braniff historians:

If any of you are curious to know how BAC 1-11 planes were delivered from England to any airline in America, here is fantastic example of how this plane was delivered to Braniff airline as seen below that any of you can recreate historic delivery flights using your flight sim platform.

Delivery Details:Ship N1543's Flight Log from Hurn, England, to Dallas Love Field for March 10 through March 13, is shown below:

Thursday, March 11, 1965

Depart BAC Hurn, England, Plant 410AM CST from BAC 1-11 factory
Arrive Prestwick, Scotland 520AM CST
Depart Prestwick, Scotland 628AM CST
Arrive Keflavik, Iceland 854AM CST
Depart Keflavik, Iceland 1010AM CST
Arrive Sondrestrom, Fjord, Greenland 1240PM CST
The flight encountered a snowstorm upon arrival at Sondrestrom but the aircraft performed perfectly.
Remain overnight at Sondrestrom

Friday, March 12, 1965

Depart Sondrestrom, Fjord, Greenland 548AM CST
Arrive Goose Bay, Labrador, Canada 842AM CST
Depart Goose Bay, Labrador, Canada 925AM CST

Yep, the joys of auto correct when typing on my phone. Sorry about that. It should say:-

Thanks Aharon for the post re HJG, sadly we have lost a few contributors over the years to the clouds above and others have moved on to other things but it is always good to remember those that gave others enjoyment from their work in HJG. Today HJG has a dedicated staff headed by Mark and Peter who does the website and continue to build on the repertoire that has become expected of HJG :)
