Among the many shortcomings in the ATC, the US voices while flying in the UK grinds on me (No disrespect to our American cousins).
So imagine my surprise today when halfway between Newtownards and Eshott when a warning was displayed saying that the SIm had lost connection to Azure text to speech services, and would continue with local text to speech. The next thing I hear from ATC is a rather charming English gentleman on ATC!! (Although to be fair, he was from Scottish Centre). So it seems with Azure speech off, I get a better ATC experience.
