Shalom and greetings all my pals,
I need research assistance on aviation history please. Since all of you are expert in British commercial aviation, I am hoping any of you can help me.
I cannot find route maps or specific destination cities flown by AirTours International Airways that had a huge fleet including 747, DC-10s, and 767s. Also, out of what British airports did AirTours International Airways operated? I cannot find anything on Internet or Wiki.
Thanks,
Aharon

Re: Need Research Help Please on Aviation History
They had Md 80 series exclusively until the purchase of InterEuropean, when they gained 1 757, 1 A320, and 2 737's . ( I was interning at the time with InterEuropean); the sole 747 was a wet lease operated by Icelandic and used on summer routes to Orlando from UK ( Manchester, Cardiff and Belfast - Aldergrove)
InterEuropean was originally part of Asprou Travel group, and operated from Cardiff, Bristol and Manchester on the inclusive tour holiday flights to Spain/Portugal and Cyprus if that helps

VC Ten,
Thanks but I already checked that and it did not tell real history of AirTours International Airways and its routes/
Motormouse,
Thanks for useful info on routes but unless I am mistaken, I think AirTours got 747-200 via lease from Air New Zealand.

Aharon

Can’t help much but I do recall flying on an Airtours 757 from East Mids (EGNX) to Lanzarote in the late 90s. Hope you find more info. EricT
