Now when you look at the pictures spot how many stupid mistakes the Lincolnite made!

OMG :-O :-O :-O

A gunless gun turret and the strangest looking RR Merlin I've ever seen.

That's the first time I've seen a Nissen hut described as a 'bunker' too. It might offer some minor protection from flying earth and debris but corrugated iron sheets wouldn't stop a bullet or a close bomb burst.

Well, that 'engine' was certainly designed to, along with being able to skip across the water.

Not so much suck, squeeze, bang, blow as squeeze, BANG........ or

His gun free "turret" would at least have the gunners feet dangling round his ears from memory. I did once get to crawl round a Lancaster fuselage south of Calgary but the business end was sealed off.

Alternatively, there's a new film coming out in 2022 - "Lancaster".
Made by the folks who did "Spitfire" from 2018, and will be the same basic format, focussed on the crews.
I'm picking up a DVD of "Spitfire" tomorrow.

I looked at those pictures and saw just what you mean.
Also, I did pick up that "Spitfire" DVD today, but as we've had our street end of year party tonight and I've consumed my annual bottle of fizz, I've not yet seen any of the 95 minutes. I'll give you an update when I'm not feeling the fizz effects
Well, I hope I'm not feeling the effects after a sleep :worried:
