the tank has become outmoded as the main source of battlefield power thanks to weapons like the Javelin and the Turkish drones being used by the Ukranians.
Could not agree more just watch this Russian tank destroyed by launcher, hit right on the top and you can see the devastation it caused.

I've just watched this video, in which Ward Carroll, a retired USN aviator, talks to Justin Bronk from the Royal United Services Institute, in London. Justin is an expert on aviation matters, and his analysis of the Russian air force's shortcomings, the impracticality (and legal issues) of transferring Polish MiGs to Ukraine, and the significant risks of trying to establish a no-fly zone, are well worth listening to.

A lot of people in the media would do well to listen to this, and stop their usual political-partisan tub thumping.

Fascinating. A very shrewd and rational explanation of why NATO intervention on the basis of a no-fly zone would be unhelpful

It's another YT channel worth bookmarking, Brian. A lot of interesting guests, including many of his old USN colleagues. He cuts through all the hyperbole and BS floating around. Look for the one about a Tomcat intercepting a Vulcan heading towards the carrier - very amusing. :)

I've just spotted this on FR24 -

I had no idea these aircraft existed. It looks like it has the 'chin blisters' from an RC-135W Rivet Joint stuck on the side of the fuselage.

Its a similar thing to the R1 Sentinels we used to have. Nowadays the Global Hawk is used. I’ve seen a few of the US ones up, they have a huge range and endurance.

Interesting (worrying?), that the USAF have been monitoring the area around Kaliningrad, including the Baltic sea.

They've been keeping an eye on that area sporadically. Another thing of interest is that an RAF A400 has been making ( presumably?) deliveries to the very far NE of Norway over the last few days
