Used to order specialist dog food from Amazon. Initially it came in strong (12.5 kg) plastic sacks. Then Amazon changed the packaging to card boxes inside of which was the original plastic sack! 
The simple to carry sack became a very unwieldy box that could only be carried one at a time.
Crazy or what?
Latterly we used our local pet store and plastic sacks.

Similar delivery here, nearly a shoebox sized carton for an SSD
