From the crease in the fuselage and the rippling of the skin to the rear of that, it looks like it 'broke it' back'. Unlikely to be repaired on a new aircraft, let alone an ageing B737-400. It must have been one hell of a hard landing.

West Atlantic, the plane's Swedish-based operator, said only the flight commander will be allowed to land at Exeter Airport until further notice.
Ah, it's the old "the first officer was flying" defence.
