MikeW,
We went into Ballarat today, and bought a copy of "All the Light...."
I don't know if there's a hardback, but I got the soft cover. Font is rather small, so it may be heavy going even with the 2.5x specs on :worried:

Mike - there were a couple of large print editions. Your local library should be able to track one down for you, or a good second-hand bookshop. Have noticed in a lot of my books the print has shrunk (probly from the drought) so I have one of those A4 magnifying sheets for books I don't have as e-books on my tablet, where I can adjust the font size myself.

No worries, the specs got me through 47 pages in bed last night. ;)

A good 'companion read' for 'The Book Thief' is 'All the Light you Cannot See' by Anthony Doerr. No way would I watch either of them as movies or TV series - and the same goes for Captain Corelli...'

Cheers

Mike,
Many thanks for the HU on "All the light we cannot see"!
Finished reading it last night.
An excellent read, taking us through the whole range of emotions, some facts some fiction.
Andrew dealt fairly with the cruelty on all sides, and let us see it from a number of perspectives.
Recommended reading
I was thinking that it had enough for a film, now that I've checked, I see that Netflix is working on a series. *-)
