A record breaking good deed!
Hi All,
This is to let you know that our PeteP's other half has just broken the record for oldest woman to swim right round the Isle of Jersey - 41 miles!
This was a fund-raiser by Chris, and the swim was completed about half an hour under her expected time
Departure was close to 6am local time and it was all over about 11:30pm yesterday.
Couple of tracking screen shots which I took during the event: "Lionheart" was the monitoring vessel.
You can read more on the following link:

Please post comments here, for Pete to share with his family, thanks

Thanks very much for posting this Mike. Just one small correction if I may - she started just before 6 am and finished just after 5.30 pm a total time of 11 hours 32 minutes.

Sorry, Pete, must have got confused with the international times
Re: A record breaking good deed!
Congratulations Christine, very well done. 41 miles, blimey! What an achievement, and a very good cause too.
Re: A record breaking good deed!
Absolutely Brilliant Christine. That is a feat and record that hopefully will stay yours for a very long time and all for such a good cause as well. I take my hat off to you.
Regards
Nigel.

Re: A record breaking good deed!
Thank you all for your very kind comments - I'll show them to Chris when she gets back tomorrow. I think she'll be very surprised to find herself on a flight sim site!
She was interviewed earlier by the local Jersey ITV station and there are some short clips here: https://www.itv.com/news/channel/2022-0 ... -in-jersey
Not a single mention of her hard-working husband, I notice but was it ever thus.
