But that does bring up a good question.. which swimming style did Mrs. PeteP use. ?

I did that on her solo Channel attempt, Brian but never again! Shortly after we set off at crack of sparrow, the weather, which had been forecast on the limits for the swim, took a turn for the worse, the wind got up and the sea became quite rough so I spent the next 15 hours being seasick. It came as quite a shock as I'd never really suffered from any form of motion sickness but because of the sea state, we were down to about 1 kt at times causing the little pilot boat we were on to roll left and right at the same time as dipping and rising - very uncomfortable corkscrewing motion and after 15 hours of that, my career as one of Chris's boat support crew came to an end.
