Or is it even extinct?

If Scientists were able to re-create the Tasmanian Tiger, using the technology described, would it truly be a Thylacine? If (on the rare chance), the Thylacine still exists, what effect on the gene pool would releasing these genetically engineered Tassies into the wild have?

Never satisfied, are we?
Shoot them into extinction, then invest walloping scientific resources into reintroducing them.
Or introduce cane toads to fix one problem, creating a deadly bigger problem in the process.
I won't start on foxes and rabbits.

But there has been talk already of re-creating a prehistoric animal using genes from bones etc. Now that would be an even bigger worry Mike!Or introduce cane toads to fix one problem, creating a deadly bigger problem in the process.
I won't start on foxes and rabbits.
