I was long overdue a visit so today I went down to see the 'new' arrival. Click on the pics to see the full size version ( NIGEL!! )
The recently restored Victor - this was as close as I could get, because there was a classic car auction going on - you should have seen some of the cars!

Interesting little tweaks to the Missile warning sensor fairings on the front pair & to the rear flare dispenser/ Missile warning sensor fairings.
I was very envious of the 146 series outline the, shape of those curves very sensuous, as were the mathematical curves of the Aero Commander series.
The victor photo with the cars - I had to look twice before realizing it wasn't a model set!

You're right, that's exactly what it looks like!

Loved your pics of Her Majesty's BAe 146, Paul. How did the Chevrolet 'Stingray' make it into the Classic Car Auction'? Cool car.

Yes, they should have added some weathering here and there.

Not been down there for years now, pity the aircraft were not open for public viewing or is it only on week-ends?
Brilliant pictures by the way Paul.

Nigel.

Re: Duxford's BAe 146 today - and the Victor
Hi Nigel. Some of the aircraft were open on Monday - I went inside the York, while Concorde and Hermes were also open. I think it's largely down to how many DAS/IWM volunteers turn up on the day. None of the airliners outside were open. Tours of the BAe 146 are conducted at £5 a head, and I think I might take up the offer at some point. It'd be nice to see how the Queen flew.
Thanks for the compliment on the photos - I wanted to check out the camera capability of my new iPhone, and it's certainly better than my old one.
