Thanks everyone for the birthday greetings. I spent a pleasant morning in the winter sunshine enjoying a round of golf then back to coffee and walnut birthday cake courtesy of my wonderful wife.
As to the pressies Mike mentioned. Of course there were the de rigueur socks all old men expect and receive. A surprising amount of beard products as I now sport a bit of a Santa Claus number and a rather large amount of alcoholic beverages. Judging by the amount of drink family and friends have bought me and I have no reason to believe they misunderstand me, I am beginning to wonder if I may have a drink problem. Oh well, Cheers.
