Antonov 225 Mriya

Post by TobyV »

I was looking for something else on this website and came across this headline which might be of interest

https://www.aviation24.be/manufacturers ... simulator/

"For each aircraft sold in flight simulation software, the profit will be used in favour of rebuilding the iconic aircraft that was destroyed"

I think they'll need to sell a fair few copies to achieve that, but there is/was a second partially complete airframe, so perhaps there's a chance.

Yes, think it’s due in April or may. I’m glad to see it preserved in the sim at least, and it should be a good model. Don’t think I’ll be buying it though.

I have seen the estimates of rebuilding the 225 range from $500m to $5B, its going to take a lot of $19 purchases to rebuild her.

She is not exactly my cup of tea but think I will end up purchasing a copy just to support the cause.
