Is it imaginary flight or recreation of real world historic flight?

Looking at speedometer gauge of your cockpit, there is something wrong with that gauge.

Yes at first I thought it was approach speed but looking at ground and looking at flap degrees, I think the plane was still flying toward runway instead of on final approach to runway. Maybe it is MS2020 thing that gives misconception readings??

On finals at about 700ft/m decent rate and about 140 kts is about right, looks like there’s a bit of a cross wind. The last flap setting shouldn’t be engaged until about 0.5 miles out, if I remember correctly. I remember one captain saying he would usually leave it until over the threshold.

Main thing to watch on an ILS approach is the glide slope indicator (coupled with the airspeed obviously) As you can see we are slightly high on the glideslope, which would indicate the need for a slight power reduction (we are only talking 3 or 4 knts) Bear in mind the airport had only just become visible and we were following the ILS from 3000ft, so we are pretty well on target. I mentioned the other day to Nigel, the Just Flight model is sensitive on holding its glide slope, any more then 2 divisions high or low and you will loose the autopilot guidance, forcing a manual response. Not useful in the weather conditions that day. How representative that is from the real aircraft I don't know. I was considering not using flaps 33 (plenty of runway length at Manchester) but dropped them shortly after the last shot taken, taking care not to "balloon" and loose the ILS.
The flight was just a scheduled VA flight for 146 /300 series probably created from original BA route

I now watch the ILS much more closely now than did before, just wonder whether the HS146 did that in its heyday? :dunno: But nonetheless, it really keeps your attention to the job in hand.

That is what fooled me into thinking it was not on final runway approach to runway hence me questioning speedometer gauge.
