MSFS SU12

Post by TSR2 »

Hi Chaps,

So Sim Update 12. Worth knowing that I didn't get an update to the main program (through Windows Store) before the update screen after launching the sim.

As always, I renamed my community folder to community.old first and also cleared my shader cache.

the update itself went fairly smoothly (I think it was about 8GB - but I can't remember, and then a similar amount of updates in the content manager).

Shut the sim down cleanly, renamed the community folder back to normal and all seems to be fine.

First impressions are that it seems to have improved performance. I was quite happy with my performance beforehand anyway, but it seems to be using more cores more heavily on my system and also GPU seems less busy with higher FPS.

Updated here no problems. Only small hiccup was it didn't show any updates in the content manager until I shut the sim down and restarted.
