More silly warnings

I was repairing a foot massager for our Daughter, and looked up the user manual on line.
Of course, that model is no longer included, despite them saying "current and legacy".
A similar one included the instruction "Do not use when wearing shoes, wear socks"
I can just imagine wanting a foot massage and leaving my boots on.

As someone who used to write Operator/Maintenance manuals for a living I can assure you that all those seemingly stupid orders/suggestions/comments are there for a reason! Someone, at some point, has done something that required the manual to be changed to include a warning in order to protect the manufacturer! Unfortunately stupid is as stupid does!

Kids these days think they're so smart.
When I was a teenager the manual for the car told one how to set the ignition timing and adjust the tappets.
Now it warns them not to drink the battery acid!
