Cool shot

I am IMPRESSED by your extremely realism in loading 25 percent fuel into your VC-10 for flight from Tokyo to Seoul Wondering how many percent fuel left when you landed in Seoul. Is VC-10 supposed to have emergency fuel reserve? You must have used economic cruising speed to conserve fuel.

The Super VC10 has a fuel capacity of over 54 Tonnes of fuel.

Normal cruise speed (M0.86, circa 480 KTAS) yields 6 T per hour so over 9 hours endurance.

Tokyo to Seoul was a mere 670 Nm, so I loaded 18T total for departure if I recall correctly, 15 minutes (at full power for climb) by the time I passed Fujiyama meant I was down to about 25% by that time.

Plenty of spare fuel to allow for a possible diversion - I always try to land with at least an hours fuel on board.

Andy,

Thanks for reply and once again, I am very very impressed by your extremely realistic fuel load.

I see you are using FSX. Are you using realistic VC-10 panel from CBFS or are you using newer VC-10 panel from HJG???

Regards,

Aharon
