Eyes of the Pilot Fokker 28

Post by Nigel H-J »

About one hour and a half hours I'm afraid, don't think I have the enthusiasm to watch it in one go. You may have to fast forward to the best bits. I much rather fly her than watch!!

Hi Dale, perhaps you might be able to answer this for me. I have heard after landing having used the airbrakes and spoilers a rather strange sound after firing up the APU. Cannot really describe it but something like shu shu shu. Crazy as it sounds but if I switch off the battery it goes away. Driving me nuts it is, cannot think of one electrical item that makes that sound after landing and starting the APU. *-)

pleased you are enjoying the vid.

Can't say I've heard such a noise Nigel. Although I must admit I normally just go to ground power when arriving at the gate I will have to try the apu next time I fly in her. Have you updated to the latest version?

I updated the F28 a few days ago, until then I had not done any flights as had a few problems so waited for this latest update. Which has sorted a few faults I had found, still a few to sort out but nothing major.

Just a short hop to Liverpool. Started the apu after turning off the runway. No anomalies here. :dunno:
Are you sure you're not hearing the canned music from the cabin??

Not sure if there's an option in the efb. The switch is on the side of the entrance door, along with the volume control.
Its caught a few people out

I know you can replace the audio file with another, (instructions are in the manual), so I suppose you could just use a silent audio file if you want to disable it permanently.
