Another good team effort this week.
Eric (Tomliner), Mick (woody901), Brian (Bridon Bear), PeteP, Pete (Motormouse), AllanL, Joe (blanston12), Simon (simondix), Keith (Dev One), and Ben (TSR2), all identified the DH Hornet, which was an F Mk3 of 41 Squadron.

Brian and Allan included a bit of extra information, for which they get a Bonus Star

Thanks to All, and Happy New Year. I've already picked the first one for 2024, and will post that in a few minutes.

Brian (Bridon Bear), Keith (Dev One), Pete (Motormouse), Simon (simondix), Ben (TSR2), and AllanL identified the Gloster Javelin (FAW Mk7 of 64 Squadron to be precise), on their first reply. D-I-A-M-O-N-D-S for you all:

Whilst Mick (woody901) and Joe (blanston12) Buccaneered their way to the right answer on their second reply. Good as gold.

Extra information from Brian, Ben, and Allan got them a Bonus Star

Thanks for making this worthwhile, your participation is really appreciated.

A twist in the tail, then it was attached to the wrong front end
Lucky you, you get to identify both bits

PeteP and AllanL scored bonus stars, Pete for extra background, and Allan for getting Marks of both aircraft spot on.

This is one out of the box!
Only one correct answer, and loaded with relevant detail, too :)
Brian (Bridon Bear) takes the cake, accompanied by Pat Malone.

22-01-24 Another biplane for your consideration; a bit more modern than last week's topic.

Only one entrant this week, and he got it right first time.
Mick (woody901) is the sole recipient, congratulations, Mick

Nobody asked for clues, so none were posted.
The subject was the Tachikawa KI-17 Cedar trainer from 1935.
