Glad to hear it Mike...I had a similar minor scare myself recently and thankfully the scan came back negative so I can relate to the worry these things cause...nice to have you back firing on all cylinders! ;)

Hi Mike, great to have you back at the helm. Hopefully you'll get your energy levels back again

Right, last weeks spotter proved a tricky one for some. It was in fact the Scottish Aviation Prestwick Pioneer. This was the pre curser to the Pioneer 2 or Pioneer CC Mk1 (Not to be confused with the Twin Pinoneer - Twin Pin).

The Prestwick Pioneer had the deHaviland Gypsy Queen engine which was considered under powered and so the production version had the Alvis Leonides radial fitted.

Much coming and going with this one (so hopefully I get these scores right). No one got top marks.

Mick got it in two...

And Simon got it in two and a half

And Keith got it in three...

Other guesses included Auster and Storch

Just to finish off my stint, this one was the Handley Page HP.88

The Buccaneer was guessed by a couple of folk, and although no relation, it was actually assembled for HP by Blackburn at Brough. The fuselage may look familiar too, built by Supermarine and mostly Swift.

thanks to all who had a go.

One first time entrant, Brian gets the diamonds...

Closely followed by Mick, with a Gold...

I hope that you didn't "amuse yourself" with that answer, Joe, It was to amuse those who had submitted a correct answer to the spotter
Well, I COULD have spelt it out more clearly, but blah blah, rules were made to be broken, blah.
