Only two responses so far :(

Here's a give away question for anyone, whether you've responded to this week's or not:
Describe the pattern on the Halifax fins of 158 Squadron lead aircraft.
If you can't find it on line, the answer is on my website-Museum/Special Detail/ Bomber Command......

Firstly, 12-02-24 results.
Sad to see only three responses, as I thought these two would be readily recognised.
Maybe the quiz has had its day?
PeteP, Mick (woody901), and Ben (TSR2) got both the Piper Navajo Chieftain and Embraer EMB 110 Bandeirante.
Ben gets a bonus star for telling me it was King Island Airlines on the Embraer.

Ditto for the give away extra.
Brian (Bridon Bear), Mick (woody901), ans Ben (TSR2) found both patterns used by 158 Squadron:

Thanks to those who entered, and congratulations on getting them right

Yes, I was logged out when I opened the forum this morning but, fortunately, had no problem logging back in.

19-02-24 results.
Three again this week.
PeteP, Brian (Bridon Bear), Mick (woody901) all spotted the CANT Z1000 "Alcione".
The name seems to translate as "Kingfisher," though the www also tells me that Halcyon is an alternative. Why is it so? A certain professor used to ask.
This was a mostly wooden airframe, which, depending on your source of information, was either unreliable, or withstood extremes of temperature and humidity very well. :dunno:

Thanks for playing ;)
Thanks to Mick, who sent this interesting image, showing the earlier single fin, and the twin fin together:
