I find the Drone Camera quite a useful little gadget but personally found the keyboard not that intuitive to use, especially in the dark.
So I bought a very cheap 360 XBOX controller from Amazon and it has made all the difference, so easy and intuitive to use...should have got one ages ago.
Best of all it just plugs in and works right away so I'm now able to explore inside buildings and do walk arounds much easier especially in detailed scenery such as the superb Duxford EGSU by 'ChicoMick'
I followed this short video for tweaks and fine tuning and it all works a dream.

The cost from Amazon was just under £14 and it has proved to be a good investment that won't break the bank either.

Re: Drone Camera joy
I have FS Realistic which incorporates the ability to walk around so use that instead, though does affect the graphics slightly so usually set it at TAA when going walkies.
Nigel.
Just spent quite a bit of time there too, when based at Stradishall and during my lunch break when driving the shuttle service from camp to Duxford I used to go exploring round the hangers and buildings, quite eerie in a way even though it was daylight there was no-one to be seen. it all looked rather sad really.and do walk arounds much easier especially in detailed scenery such as the superb Duxford EGSU by 'ChicoMick'

I used to be an optimist but with age I am now a grumpy old pessimist.

Indeed Nigel....it makes the World of difference to be able to explore these superb sceneries such as the Freeware Duxford as mentioned. I now know what I have been missing all this time. Glad to hear that FS Realistic does the same job for you too.

,,,
I suppose that's in FS2020.
Didn't know anyone had created a drone, but it should be reasonably simple to do.
Peeking around scenery details can be quite interesting; I usually do a taxi around airports on my first visits, to see what's parked behind buildings etc.
I'm glad that you have a good controller now
Re: Drone Camera joy
Hi Mike, drone view in MSFS2020 isn’t an actual drone, it’s a camera view that you can move anywhere independently of the aircraft. It behaves a bit as though you were flying a drone with a camera.

Re: Drone Camera joy
Yes Mike, as Ben said it is FS2020 and the Drone camera is built it and located under the Camera tab. They don't actually call it a 'Drone Camera' but instead it's called 'Showcase' for some reason but it is such a useful little tool to have and now I can go inside buildings, control towers etc...adds another dimension to the sim.
