Hi Guys,
Just a heads up that we have been under attack by AI bots. We're getting as many as 50 or so false registrations a day. With the advent of AI, there are no registration questions that even an average AI can't get the answer to. As such I've had to make registration a manual process and I have also implemented Cloudflare web protection which should stop most malicious registrations getting through (I hope).
This should have no impact on genuine users, but please let me know if it causes you any trouble trying to access the site.

I log in, write a post, get told that I need to be logged in, lose the post while I'm logging in again.
I am able to post from my phone, where I'm permanently logged in. It's the desktop that's giving trouble.

What browser are you using Mike? How do you mean, permanently logged in on your phone, but not on your desktop?

Firefox on both, Ben.
I find it cumbersome to log in on the phone so I don't log out.
It has always surprised me that I don't show up as logged in on the desktop, while the phone says that I am.
Tried posting this on the desktop, but same thing as last night...."you need to be logged in......."

Hi Mike, don’t worry, we’ll get you sorted.
I use Firefox on the PC too.
Why do you log out on the PC? If you don’t mind, can you try logging in on the PC, but click on the little checkbox to remember your log in?

I log out, so that Members don't think I'm on line and ignoring them.
I have ticked that remember box again, didn't have it ticked for quite some time IIRC.

Hi Mike, the online status doesn’t use whether you’re logged in as such. For example, I’m “logged in” all the time in the sense that it is set to remember me, but when I close my browser, if theres no activity after a few minutes i don’t show as being “online” at the bottom of the forum
