Sim Use Survey

Post by TSR2 »

Hi guys. I’m just curious to see what sim everyone is using. I haven’t had much flying time myself, but despite being a bit buggy, FS24 works well for me. Please choose your main two.

Completely and mainly FSX Deluxe with SP1 and SP2 with intentions to move to MS2024 in 2 or 3 years later.

FS2020 only for me (not that I've actually used it in ages). I don't have 2024 yet, and the others aren't installed at the moment. The only other sim I do have installed is DCS.

I'm only flying P3D v4.5 at the moment but I do still have FSX:SE and FS2004 installed too.

Like Paul I have FS2020 and FS2024 but use FS2020 about 85% of the time, just experimenting with 24.

I use FSX, P3Dv4 and MSFS 2020.
I also fly with another Airline that uses piston pounders so now that MSFS has the DC3, DC6 and C46 Curtiss Commando things are starting to look up.
Still waiting for a BAC1-11 in MSFS and the HS748 so I can fly more with CBFS.
Can't see me forking out for 2024 at present.

I've only recently returned to Flightsim, and CBFSim, after some years away. So I'm still using FS9 on my old trusty laptop, mainly because I have so many addons for it, and love the wide range of aircraft available. Especially the classics!

For those using MSFS 2020 & 2024, are there good quality models of our Classic British aircraft available on those platforms?

I did have X-Plane 12 installed but then found out that many of my aircraft from X-plane 11 did not function well so took X-plane 12 off and re-installed X-Plane 11 where I can fly all my purchases. Found out later that even though some of the aircraft had been updated for ver. 12 they are being sold as new models but at discount if you want them

Have MS2024 and waiting for aircraft to be updated so just been flying Twin Otter.

I’ve invested just too much time and money in P3D to turn my back on it.
