HS Argosy

I've downloaded and been flying Rick Piper/Fraser McKay's Argosy over the weekend. Everything is fine until about 15 - 20 minutes into the flight and engines conk out. I'm able to relight but the flights then just descend into chaos.
Any ideas anyone?

It's been a while since I used it but I seem to recall you had to monitor the temps very closely.

Thanks Alex. Does that mean reducing the throttle or is there more to it than that?

Hi Paul, again a vague recollection, but where there fuel trimmers in the Argosy modelled? I cant remember which model it was, but i think it featured on a few of Rick / Frasers.

Assume you are talking Armstrong Whitworth Argosy? This works for me:

Fuel Trim is accessed via the downward arrow icon. I have a note that it should be 50% to start, but I always start at 100% without issue, and (shame on me) leave it there for the whole flight.

Water Methanol On for take-off, then climb at 14200 rpm, 180-195kias, 800-1000 fpm to maintain that speed. Water Methonol Off as soon as down to 14200 rpm. Heating Upper Left Panel if temperature less than 10 degrees. Cruise at 14200 rpm.

Hope that helps.

John

PS - also make sure Fuel Filter De-Ice switches (upper left panel) are "on" or "auto" at all times
