Hi Tom

I remember that being featured in Aircraft Illustrated in the early Seventies and the comments being made then on how remarkable it was that it was still air worthy.............thirty five years later

Shows what a lot of loving care can do over the years and how grateful we should be to those that are prepared to commit themselves, and that is very true for your outfit as well.

She was built in 1936, so is now 70 years old! I'm not sure how much of the orginal is left as it's been modified and rebuilt several times over the years!

Whilst not in orginal condition anymore (as per my profile) we should be very greatful to have a Mew Gull in existance given how they were treated, the prototype even being painted in fake Luftwaffe colours and burnt at the end of the war

 Very good Toby!

I stumbled across an old issue of Aeroplane Monthly with a much better photo of AEXF in original condition so the profile has been amended slightly. Also added are a few details I couldn't previously make out. decent photos of these birds are hard to come by!

Tom, as a thought from someone who is no where near as talented, would G-AEXF stick out better if you made the background off white, maybe even a pale blue?
