Classic British Flight Sim

Hi all,

Now the T Hunters have been released, it's time to think about my next project. I've got 3 models at the initial stages, each has it's pros and cons and I was wondering what people think.

Model 1: Short Belfast

Started this one a while back, but haven't done much with it recently. Detailed infomation is a bit hard to come by, and to match the standard of Ricks 748 is going to be a tall order.

Model 2: Hawker P1121

The real thing never got past the full scale mock-up stage, so performance and handling specs would be guesstimates.

Model 3:Harrier FRS.1 (& possibly GR1/3)

A complete cow of a model to make Plenety of info around, but the FD will be a "challenge"

Other options are updates to earlier models (Lancaster, Anson) to bring them up to current spec, or something completely different.
What ever, don't expect to see a finished model this side of FSX

I'd say go with the Belfast. There is the one at Cosford, so Photographs are available. It's not that old so there must be people around who have flown/been onboard them. I'm sure we could all throw a bit of research in.

I've got piccy's of the landing gear, and I could get more.
There is only one other vers. of it, which I bought and I have to say that I was not impressed by it.

Much as I love the P1121 Dave, I have a real love of the Belfast, I would really love to fly this AC. Just my tuppence worth.

I voted for the Shar as Dave appears to have got the most difficult bit done perfectly already and I was toying with building one myself (thus DG would get my conscience off the hook, and make a better job of it!). Would love to see that P.1121 too. Cant understand what everyone's fascination is with the Belslow is though :k: :think: ?

Dave that's a really hard choice - SHar or Belfast. Hmmm...

Although I really, really love the Belfast, I'm going to have to go with the SHar. The last true British fighter.

Fave, you know that personally I'd love to see the P1121, it would look very nice on one of the upcoming Ark Royals; btw, I have some performance data, can't remember whether or not I sent it over to you? :think:

But, realistically, my vote HAS to be for the Harrier, especially if there is a possibility of a GR3 or GR1.
