Here are some screenshots from my current project. Still a WIP and hoping to vastly improve on it. It may not be accurate as I'd like it to be but I'm happy with what I've done so far given this is my first attempt at something like this. What I'm hoping to do also is to try and represent the ultralight aircraft runways which is located on the western end of the airfield. Not quite happy with the grass textures as you can barely see them from the air.

Hi Gordon,

Glad your giving it a go. What tools are you using?

Stick with it mate... these things take time (Argosy = over 12 months if I remember correctly, but look at the finished product!

Hi Ben, yes you are right, now been at this for almost a week and still early stages. A lot of trial and error is involved. The tools I'm using at the moment have been afcad, excbuilder and flatx. These have been the easiest to use.
Got to agree with you on the Argosy, that is one sweet machine  Just one of many additions in my collection along with the rest of the British classics found here

Question: Are there any ultralights that can be used for ai? I would love to have some doing circuits if at all possible.

I'm certainly looking forward to this. Will you be including static aircraft, such as the Vulcan and Comet that sit outside the hangars?

Yes, Vixus I'm planning on doing the museum as well. Having to take a crash course in gmax as I've never done modelling before but gonna try anyway

I would love to have the Comet and Vulcan included but they may be beyond my capabilities to create

Leif, seeing as this is totally new ground for me, I'm not sure if it will work with scotflight scenery as I haven't got it :dunno: Using default scenery.

Gordon,

Have a look in avsim and flightsim.com for static aircraft. You might be able to get a static comet and vulcan there so you don't have to create them yourself.
