Classic British flight services... Sounds very 60's - 70's and it IS CBFS

Not that I'm biased.

Classic Line UK for me. Thought it up as it reminds me of Court Line.

CBFS for me.

If I can ever get the FlyNET website to work again, I'll be shutting down Green Mountain Cargo (for now) and joining you guys. Maybe later I can spin GMC off as a "US Division" of this group.

Thats a neat idea Chris, it would be pretty much up to John though, but I will admit to liking the dark side LOL for instance 'bush' flying a C-119, DC-4, C-123, C-124 in and out of the smallest strips I can find in Alaska

I've always been huge on the "old school" planes.

The airplanes I had been planning were -

C-208
CV-240
CV-580
HS.748
YS-11

Might also add the other pistons later if there's enough demand and open an Alaska operation in addition to the Eastern US operation.

Seems to be moving away from Classic British Flying to world wide operation and airline management.

Where do these CV240's and C208 and C-119 Etc fitin to all this?

Gentlemen,

I have extracted this from a previous posting I made 'in the early days' in case people have a short memory.
RAF_Quantum wrote: The policy at CBFS has I believe always been one of 'no fictional liveries' so that policy will be carried over to this VA. Of all the aircraft we shall be flying, there are a multitude of genuine airline liveries already available. So, all of the potential VA fleet already has a choice of paint schemes. What livery you use is entirely up to you. With this in mind, it would be preferable to pick a name which has some sort of 'universal' catch all so that potentially we can embrace the ability to fly ANY Britsh aircraft that was operated by ANY airline, or ANY aircraft that was operated by ANY BRITISH airline. This will NOT open the floodgates of requests for Boeings/Airbuses/Embraers etc as we shall simply not be purchasing any aircraft that are not suitable for the VA.

I hope this 'policy' will clear up any concerns.

Rgds

Notice I said - HAD been planning. That was what was going to happen at GMC had it ever gotten off the ground.

You ALSO SAID this

As if you were thinking about bringing Green Mountain into this then you start discussing the non British types.

You are porbably joking but the thread was going American
