Hi

I promised Ian some shots of the freeware Kai Tak, so here goes:

And a (truncated to 3 min) video...

If anybody's interested, I could try to split the whole video up (7 min)

Enjoy (or don't) ;-)

That's very 'busy' looking scenery Dan so I doubt my pc's would be able to run it. Very impressive though

Once I fine tuned my PC i got in the neighborhood of 15-30 FPS !

Reduced autogen to Very Sparse
Reduced screen to 1280x1024x16 (no visible difference in colors compared to x32)
Reduced visibility to 60 mi.
Reduced cloud draw to 70 mi
Reduced 3d clouds to 60%...

The rest are maxed out.
Real weather from FSMetar, Traffic at 100% incl GA on so on and so forth...

You should at least give it a try...

oops! one very important thing I discovered:

Be SURE to have both Jim's AF2_** and his special *_ILS_ files in the SAME folder (eg. kaitak98\scenery)

Be sure NOT to have ANY other afcads for VHHX

And to double check, open Afcad, an observe TWO BOLDED VHHX entries.

One is the actual afcad for RWY's etc. the other is for the AI to fly the correct approach...Don't place anything in the the default addon \scenery folder keep it in the KaiTak98\Scenery and/or Texture folders.

I tried to move 'em a little around and as a result I lost the checker board, and the stadium (!)...doing it as described here makes it all work, and a very special place to go sim-spotting!

Each time I've tried to see that video, the site tells me that, 'This video requires Flash 8 or newer.' I've downloaded Flash 8 twice now and I still can't see the video :crying:
