I thought of this thread whilst at work today............

Very lightly loaded (less than 1,000lb) 727-200, 2x -15 engines & a -17 in the middle, 22,400lb fuel at T/O (TOW approx 116,000lb), during the climbout from Kandahar we peaked at 4,000 fpm. I'd have taken a pic of the VSI but the Gestapo / Stasi are stopping us from taking cameras.

It was unusually light so I'd have to agree that 4,000fpm is usually a dream & with a full load... :lol: :lol:
