Unfortunately my planned landing in the Residenz Platz in Salzburg went a little wrong:

Good Shot!!! how did you keep the rotor blades in one piece???
What a criminal waste of a Wessex. The alleged artist should be hung, drawn and preserved in formaldehyde.

Fortunately.. the 'family atmosphere' we like to preserve here precludes me from saying what I thought when I saw that shot. Longhaul's 'Twaddle' will do for now.. with a slight Anglo Saxon variation if you get my meaning!!

I'm not into helis, but I would have thought that James Stables and Trev might have something to say about waste of a perfectly decent 'copter that used to be a museum exhibit. I have stood where that Heli is now many times and its totally incongruous with what is a beautiful old fashioned city :huf:

That seems to be the whole point Toby. A brief glimpse of that lovely fountain behind the Wessex displays what
I would call art. A Wessex sat on it's rotor blades say's nothing to me except which Di*k thought this up!!
The sad thing is.. many will go into great depth about what the artist (I use the word with caution and exasperation) is trying to say. How
brave and
outspoken it is..
Shoemakers mate.. pure and simple

What a waste of a perfectly airworthy Wessex. I would much rather see it beating the air into submission (or the earth repelling it because it's so ugly depending on your viewpoint) than inverted on stands.
At least they could have taken the registration off. It only hurts more to know where she came from.
