Equally the VC allows you the opportunity of taking up the co-pilots position if you so wish but unfortunately you can't do the same with the 2D cockpit.
Hi Nigel
I like the co pilot seat as well sometimes gives me a different perspective
sometimes I just do it to give me the felling of being a right hand driver.
PS
by the way, seams to be moving in the VC favor

800 is better!!

Well, to be truthful............if I make a hash of a flight I go back from Captain to Co-Pilot as a punishment!!

Now, how sad is that??

Now thats what I call a set up! I can only dream of such a creation at the moment as I try and balance flight simming with mountain biking (which has taken up most of my spare dosh!). In the future I am tempted to set up a similar creation and may be hassling you for some inside knowledge!! Nice work..

FWIW, I spent just over £2000 getting that lot set up - that's the 3 computers and the six monitors - in about 8 months. I'm not rich by any stretch of the imagination :-({|= , but I knew more-or-less what I wanted and bought the items bit by bit (although at one point I bought 3 of the monitors at the same time).

I will be happy to help anyone get this sort of system set up - just ask!

Hi Garry,

I can get to the FS9 folder apparantly without any problems. I then have found the CONFIG folder, which I then open. Inside however there's no folder with CONTROLS on it. :dunno:

What type of folder is it? My CFG folders are normally in WORD format.

Ian. One day I will put something around that lot to simulate a cockpit of some sort. It's just that at the moment I'm waiting to move house and there's no point in doing anything until I get settled into my new place.

Hi Eddie

Controls is one of the Caps headings in the text list

The config is just text... Is that what you mean?
