there is a hot key that will move your head back to the default center view...................
just in case your panning and want to quickly
emmm Get your head on straight........
if Kimber tells what is the string instrument of her
choice
I'll say the answer

Nice pics Kimber!
I swear by using VC , like u , Maybe its my pc that makes it easy to veiw instruments - my flying pc is

3.4 mh P4
2 gig Ram
Geforce 6800 /128
CHpro yoke/rudder/peddels
ActiveCam
19 inch / Stero sound
The aircraft types ld767 all PMDG ,ATR72,Capsims coming out off my ears - all and the one that got me hooked - the 25 with DC-3 as well now and plus , ... and don't have blurry gauges with any at all

With use of ActiveCam , climb into the PMDG 747 for example , look down and find the Cap seat is needs moving to positon , do that then get to work preparing for take off - the twisting using POVhat gives a real feel doing work , look down/up around ... all VC but do use 2D - so this may shed some more light on peoples decsion for GOorNO.

Another big notice was with the Visuals was the use off the CHProd's Yoke/rudder/pedals on a swivel pc seat ... all this .. WOW no compare !
this maybe 1 reason have not purchased TrackIR ... Thay would be perfect in combat flightsims .

Most people talkin 748 for last couple weeks ..... all the payware above have not been seen .. only have flown - VC'd - the plane all over New Zealand the ability to crane your neck into airports made in valleys .

Hi,

Now for something completely different !!

This is how I've flown for the past 8 years

[img][/img]

The Minipanel. With pan_in_cockpit_mode on, pan speed 800 and a zoom of 0.6 I can see everything and the main instruments. I amended the standard minipanel to include other gauges. This pic is an older version, I now have trim, flaps, boost, N1% and a radio altimeter. The orange light is for spoiler-on. FPS is little different than no gauges at all

I find the 2D panel restrictive in view and agree with all posts about VCs and gauge response.

I guess purists may hold their hands up in horror, but this is the reality I choose and I'm happy
Regards,

Degsy

Hi Degsy,

I'm not shocked at all matey. Its really whatever works for you and you are happy with, which in turn makes us more efficient virtual pilots. I often use that view as it opens up the field of vision. In fact if I ever use 2D (rarely) then I prefer hitting the 'w' key to reduce the panel to gauges only.

I think with this poll theres no right or wrong answer. Call it an inquisitive survey of what the forum members prefer. However the results are rather interesting as I for one thought that the VC Pilots would rule outright.

How wrong was I!

If things get a bit retricted I often switch to that view

Especially if the nose is high and I do that istead of raising the eye point and I get a good look arround .

Sometimes I do it for poue visual enjoyment.

So no supprose to me either

14.6fps (locked at 15fps) is a bit dire though mate. I thought you'd just upgraded your system too!!
