I've just dug out my British Independent Airlines guide to look up British Westpoint.

When they took over Mayflower in 1964, they acquired 2 Rapdies and a network of scheduled services to the Scillies : Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Newquay, Plymouth. [1 to 2 services a week to Cardiff and Bristol, int he summer direct but at other times via Exeter or Plymouth]

Acquired last 3 BEA Rapides in 1964

Reg:

G-AGSH, HKU, IUL, JCL, SKO

There also some example route maps for several independent airlines - any use if I scan them in?

Sorry for not keeping up  work is getting in the way.

Hi David,

That's a great shot. Is it possible for you to scan it at a higher size/resolution and if poss.. mail it to me??

Also.. many here will remember the great photoreal BEA paint 'Manolito' did for DG's 2002 Rapide. Has anyone tried to plonk this livery onto the 2004 Rapide?? I don't think it will work as DG remapped the textures so if it doesn't.. anyone fancy a go at it

Not only but also.. RAS operated 4 'City' Rapides. City of Bristol (already done by Fodda) City of Birmingham, City of Cardiff and City of Plymouth. Anyone fancy painting these up??

Garry,

Any idea what St.Breuic and Dinard might be known as now or have they gone the way of so many airfields?? Can't find em in the standard FS database.
[edit] Sorted via MSN

That works fine John

Anyone got any info on the Scottish routes for the Rapide?? The most obvious (mail) was a longhaul by BEA but I'm sure (in fact I know) that RAS flew the Scottish sector during the war and it'll be nice to have a change of scenery every now and again. I might even see Fraser whizzing past in the Viscount!!!
