Hi Neil,

Blimey this is going all the way down the line. I'm sure its probably someone playing silly beggars at 50ft over Congleton in one of MSF's Tomahawks!!

It's probably Mrs Basher snoring. Tell him to try giving her a nudge in the ribs and see if it goes away.

Anything operating out of Woodford lately, it's been quiet for ages? All I'm seeing up my way is small Baron types (wind direction permitting) and it's really crap since they scrapped the annual airshow.

At that time it could be anything!

I would put it down to a cargo jobby, or a paper run aircraft heading back down south.

The Tower is your best bet.

I honestly can't bring anything to mind, is it a jet or prop?

He reckons it's a prop.
The most likely candidate I thought of is G-SIXC,AA'a DC6.
I used to catch her climbing up out of Manc.about 10 years ago around 5.20am when I worked shifts.

She sounded beautifull at that hour.Really competed with the birds.

Hi Mark

If it was the Six it could be out of anywhere and just overflying at a relitively low level.

I doubt it was the six in all honesty. But perhaps AFG Tom can shed some light?..

Do any Russian/cargo type jobs use the place? Or something to with Airbus perhaps? I remember staying in a hotel just SE of Filton and something flew in or out of there at about midnight, but I dont think Airbus use MAN to deliver or collect parts/assemblies anymore do they?
