FS Clouds....Also RAF Binbrook on AVISM

Post by Nigel H-J »

Looking through some of the files available for downloading at AVSIM I came across this:

cloudfix_3v.zip by Brian C Selb.

or

fs9nwcld.zip by Gerrit Kranenbarg

Has anyone used any of these downloads and if so what are they like?

Basically I am looking for 3D clouds (freeware) that are likely to increase frame rates unlike the default ones that Microsoft have which can be real frame rate killers.

Can anyone advise whether the above are good or can any-one tell me where to go? ........Ummm.........think I'll rephrase that........Where I can get good frame rate friendly..... free ware clouds from.

Also:

Don't know if anyone has come across this download at AVSIM

RAF_Binbrook.zip by Justin Hulme

File Description:
First attempt at an airfield - RAF Binbrook. Taken from aerial photos. since this V1.0 there will probably be issues that I hope you will let me know.

Have not yet got round to downloading it yet. Off to work soon..... will be back tomorrow.

If you want higher FPS but keep good quality clouds, I would STRONGLY suggest skylight.zip from no nodes, it gives great clouds and great performance.
