Hunter Ttrainer

Post by CometFlyer »

Hello everyone out ther !

I am wondering if there is any repaint around of the magnificent Hutner Trainer in civil prototype colours as "G-APUX".
Or is any of the experts interested in doing one ?

If you have a look at thisthread, you'll see Andy Nott has one in progress, I'm just modding the model with the extra long tanks and other bits and bobs.

Glad that you are 'modding' those tanks Dave...I did wonder about those when I supplied the colour details for the repaint....apologies for giving you extra work....

Regards.

It's not only the tanks Brian, 'APUX also had the more powerful version of the Avon as fitted to the later fighters, so I had to mod the jetpipe too. It's also got two guns, as per the export versions.
The modelling is done, just needs a lick of paint on the new tanks.

Now then.. this is what it's all about isn't it. There is painting something existing because nothing else is available (right paint, wrong model) then.. there's modding the model to fit the repaint.

Are we spoiled or are we spoiled
